Applying for the 2010 Public Ballot

The 2010 Public Ballot is now closed. No new applications for the 2010 Championships will be accepted.

Applying for the 2011 Public Ballot

Applications for the 2011 Public Ballot will be accepted from August 2010 until December 2010.

 2010 Wimbledon Championships

Wimbledon 2010: Monday 21 June - Sunday 4 July

 2010 Public Ballot
STEP ONE The closing date for applications has now passed.

You need to fill in a Public Ballot application form:

To obtain an application form, send in a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: AELTC, P.O. BOX 98, London SW19 5AE by 15 December 2009.

No letter required. If you do not send in a stamped, self-addressed envelope, you will not receive a form.

There is a separate ballot for wheelchair spaces so please make sure you write clearly “WHEELCHAIR” on both the outer and on your return envelope.

Non-UK residents should send in an International Reply Coupon instead of a stamp. If your post office does not provide these, please send your self-addressed envelope with a letter.

  • The self-addressed, stamped envelope should have your return address and should be approximately 110mm x 220mm, (4 1/4 " x 8 5/8")
  • Requests postmarked after 15 December 2009 will NOT be processed
  • We will not issue forms to personal callers after 15 December 2009.

STEP TWO
After we receive the self-addressed, stamped envelope, we will send you an application form.

STEP THREE The closing date for returning applications has now passed

You will need to complete and return the application form before 24 January 2010 to be entered into the ballot.

  • Read and follow the instructions carefully before completing the form. If you break any of the rules all tickets you may be offered will be cancelled.
  • Completed forms must be returned no later than 24 January 2010.
  • Send completed forms to: AELTC, P.O. BOX 98, London SW19 5AE
  • No S.A.E. required
STEP FOUR There will be ballots taking place from January until the week before The Championships. If you are successful, you will be informed by post from February 2010 until June 2010.
STEP FIVE Successful applicants will be able to pay for their tickets by credit card through a secure website or by posting in a cheque.
STEP SIX You will receive your tickets from the third week of May

The majority of Centre, No.1 and No.2 Court tickets are sold in advance via a public ballot. Entry into the ballot does not automatically entitle applicants to tickets for Wimbledon but a place in the draw for tickets.

Why can’t I download an application form from the website?

When we receive your completed application form, we scan the details into our ballot database. The scanning equipment we use is sensitive both to the inks used to print the application forms and to the positioning of the boxes.

An application form printed on a desktop printer run from a PC would not be able to match either the scale and register of colours on the forms or the precise position of the boxes. As a result, our scanner would not recognise the data and your completed form would be unusable and therefore void.

Whilst we have introduced online payments, currently there are no plans for online applications: we require you to sign an original form, agreeing to the terms and conditions of the ballot to which we refer should a query arise as to the validity of the application/ applicant.

Only ONE application per household is permitted. Please do not ask for more than one form: we will void your applications.

OVERSEAS BALLOT APPLICANTS

Please enclose an International Reply Coupon (in place of a stamp) where possible. If your country does not have International Reply Coupons, please contact the Ticket Office (details below).

WHEELCHAIR BALLOT

Wheelchair users have a separate ballot for Show Court spaces suitable for wheelchairs. Please specify that you require a Wheelchair form in your ballot application.

TICKET RESALE KIOSK

The Club makes every effort to ensure that seat tickets which are no longer needed are made available for resale to people already within the grounds. Original ticket holders are requested to put their unwanted tickets in special red boxes for collection by the Honorary Stewards or, if they wish to retain them as souvenirs, to have the barcodes scanned on leaving the grounds so that a new ticket may be generated.

The tickets are re-distributed at a nominal charge from the Ticket Resale kiosk inside the grounds.

The entire proceeds will be donated to charities including (but not limited to):

HSBC, the Official Bank of The Championships, Wimbledon, has generously agreed to donate to these charities in 2010 a sum equal to the total amount raised by the ticket resale scheme.
(In 2008, the amount raised was £111,164 net of VAT.)
