This year, once again, comprehensive security measures will be in place
at The Championships. These will include extensive searches on entry to the
grounds and the show courts, and limitations on the number, size and type of bags that may be brought into the grounds.
Security Searches
All bags will be searched on entry to the grounds, at the entrances to show
courts and before acceptance at left luggage facilities. The All England Lawn Tennis Club reserves
the right to perform further searches of the person as a condition of entry to the grounds.
Every effort will be made to speed your progress through the search procedures; however, this
process depends on the requirements of the Metropolitan Police and you are strongly advised
to arrive as early as possible after the grounds open at 10.30 a.m.
We know that these procedures may be inconvenient but we are equally sure that you will understand
the need to protect the safety and security of all our visitors.
This bag must measure no more than 18" x 12" x 12" (45cm x 30cm x 30cm). Furthermore, NO
HARD-SIDED ITEMS (e.g.: picnic hampers, coolboxes or briefcases) OF ANY SIZE WILL BE ALLOWED
INTO THE GROUNDS.
Please note that there are NO left luggage facilities inside the grounds. Left
luggage facilities will again be provided at a number of locations OUTSIDE the grounds, for
items exceeding these criteria and for any other items you do not need during the day.
Do not leave packages unattended at any time.
All bags will be searched before acceptance into the left
luggage facilities. Recovery of items from left luggage facilities
will require a hand stamp and valid ticket, or a wristband
and valid ticket, for re-entry to the grounds.
There are Left Luggage facilities outside the grounds on the Golf Course and at Car Park 1.
The cost is £1 per item and facilities will be manned
by Securicor from 7am until one hour after close of play.
Unclaimed luggage will be removed. Plastic bags will be available
at the left luggage facilities.
