Inclement weather postponed the opening matches at the Hypo Group Tennis International on Sunday.
Dudi Sela and Mischa Zverev had just begun their match before rain halted the action and continued, forcing the day's events to be suspended.
The seventh seed, Mario Ancic was also scheduled to play, but his match with American Robby Ginepri never got started.
The claycourt event features two of the top 15 ranked players in the world in Nikolay Davydenko and Juan Monaco, who are seeded first and second respectively.
The top-seeded Russian will begin his quest for his third title at Portschach in the last four years when he takes on Austrian Rainer Eitzinger on Monday.
Davydenko won the ATP Masters Series in Miami in March and is looking for his second singles title in 2008.
In the bottom half of the draw is Monaco, who upset Davydenko in the quarter-finals of last year's event en route to claiming his second career singles title.
The Argentinian has struggled as of late this year, failing to make it past the quarter-final round in his last seven tournaments.
Monaco is just 6-5 in his last 11 matches on clay.
