Fourth seed Na Li moved into the second round of the Strasbourg International after a straight sets win over Masa Zec Peskiric on Monday.

The Chinese world number 18 triumphed 6-3 6-3 over the Slovenian to progress, however she will not be joined by eighth seed Akiko Morigami, who was beaten by Caroline Maes 7-5 6-4.

Ninth seed Emilie Loit is through after a 7-5 6-3 win over wildcard Tiantian Sun.

Elsewhere, Vera Dushevina defeated Karin Knapp and Varvara Lepchenko saw off the challenge of Vasilisa Bardina.
