French Open blow for Roddick

Wednesday, 21 May, 2008

American number one Andy Roddick has pulled out of the French Open due to a shoulder injury.

The 25-year-old, ranked sixth in the world, sustained the injury early in his semi-final against Stanislas Wawrinka at the Rome Masters on May 10.

Roddick's best showing at the French Open, which starts on Sunday, came in 2001 when he reached the third round.
